"BUILDING FOR KINGDOM GROWTH Now"
Dear Church Family,
Our new Children’s Building is complete! We dedicated it on February 10, 2008. You will be thrilled when you see the new building - it is top-notch in every detail. No doubt you have seen the drive-thru portico; it will open up into a beautiful Welcome Center that connects easily to the current Fellowship Hall. The Preschool area will have increased security; larger rooms, each with a rest room attached; and there will be a room for privacy for nursing mothers. The Children’s area, on the second floor, will have much larger rooms with more than adequate space for their needs. The large children’s activity room will make a superb space for our Awana Bible Club and other children’s ministries. The building includes a kitchen and much needed office and storage space.
IThank you for your faithful giving and support of this project. God has truly blessed us and we anticipate being right on target with our Building Fund and subsequent debt load. Of course, your continued faithfulness to complete your commitments to Building for Kingdom Growth NOW are essential to the church.
May I take this opportunity to remind you of my previous challenge. Some can give more than others but all of us can give something. The challenge is, "not equal giving, but equal commitment!" God has graced and gifted us for such a time as this. The great news is that God uses ordinary people like you and me to accomplish His purposes in the world.
I want to thank all who have had a part in this project. I wish I had space to recognize each one by name here. We are grateful for our partnership with H.B. Technologies of Statesboro, Georgia, they have doen a superb job with the construction of our building - you will find it to be one of the best built church facilities in the state. We have received tremendous leadership from our Building Committee Chairman, Lindy Jones, and our Budget & Finance Committee Chairman, Bob Browning. These men have kept a close watch on the project and always have worked in the best interest of the church. Of course, our greatest praise goes to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whose grace and mercy have been shed abroad on us through this project. Thank you, Jesus!
Yours for Jesus’ Sake,
Brother Tom
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. " (Ephesians 3:20-21)
Yours for Jesus' Sake, Brother Tom

Questions & Answers for Building For Kingdom Growth NOW Campaign
Q. Why do we need another building?
A. Our church is growing and we will need space to accommodate our
preschool, children, and student ministries. Recently we had the highest
attendance in the history of our preschool department. Also, in order to reach
the young families that are moving into our area we need a first class preschool
and children’s facility.
Q. Why are we entering into a second Building For Kingdom Growth capital fund
raising program?
A. The first phase of our capital fund raising drive has been successful,
with well over $600,000 already given. We knew when we began the first drive
that a second drive would be needed to actually construct the facility. God has
provided additional property to the north of our current plant and we have taken
this as a clear sign from God to move forward. Ultimately, the reason for this
additional capital fund drive is to put our church in the best possible position
to be a Great Commission Church right here in our own community.
Q. Will I be asked to make my commitment publicly and when will my commitment
start?
A. The pledge card includes a place for you to indicate that you will
pray for the campaign and the construction process. We are encouraging
everyone to make a commitment to give over the next three years. You may mail or
bring your BFKG Now Commitment card to the church office. Click
here to print a
pledge card. Mail to FBCSC, P.O. Box 428, Social Circle, GA 30025,
bring to church office or place in offering plate on Sunday.
Q. Will the amount of my commitment be made public?
A. NO -- absolutely not. No one, but the financial administrator, will know
the amounts of the individual commitments. You will not receive a reminder from
the church at any time regarding your commitment. However, we would encourage
you to make a copy of your commitment card as a reminder to yourself.
Q. Can commitments be revised?
A. Yes, you may increase or decrease the amount of your commitment at any
time during the three-year (156-week) capital fund program.
Q. Can I give other gifts rather than cash, such as stock?
A. YES -- you will need to see and discuss this with the financial
administrator. A recent tax break on certain IRAs for Senior Citizens may make
this a viable option for some.
Q. My finances are already tight, how can I tithe and give to the new BFKG
Now fund?
A. The BFKG Now Team believes in the slogan, "not equal gifts, but equal
commitments." If each of us will commit to do what God leads us to do after
prayerfully seeking His will, we will all be able to contribute something. Many
of us struggle with finances because we have not learned to handle our money
God’s way. Several opportunities will be afforded over the next three years for
you to attend Christian Financial Concepts seminars. These seminars will help
you to learn how to "give your way out of debt!" By trusting God and learning
His principles for handling our money, each of us can grow in our giving to the
various ministries of the church.
Q. Should my gifts to the BFKG Now Campaign be above my tithes?
A. Absolutely! The regular ministry needs of the church will go on and they
must be funded. We are trusting God to bless the people of our church, to add to
our number, and to make the completion of this project possible without the need
for extensive debt on the church. This is a God-sized task but we agree with
Jesus: "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!"
