The First Baptist Church of Social Circle was constituted on March 24, 1836 with seven members. Through the years the Lord has blessed this congregation in a wondrous way. Our total membership today is 882. 

We have one of the finest facilities in our part of the state; a wonderful church staff dedicated to the reaching of a lost world and a stewardship program unsurpassed among churches our size. 

We moved in our beautiful new sanctuary, office suite and educational building on March 16, 1997 and dedicated them to the Glory of God. In 2008 we completed and dedicated our new Children’s Ministry building.  We welcome the opportunity to worship with you in our beautiful sanctuary and minister to you and your family in our new facility.

It is one of the great joys of the Christian Life to be a part of a congregation where "love is the guiding principle" and "faith is the ground of confidence".

 We are fortunate to be able to afford our people a total ministry through the several arms of the church. We say continually, with our actions, that we care about the sick, the elderly, the oppressed and most of all the lost. Our mission endeavor begins in the community and reaches to "the uttermost parts of the earth".
