Pastor                            

Mike is a graduate of Anderson College, Mercer University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He also received his Doctoral studies at Erskine Theological Seminary.

Mike’s wife, Jackie is a graduate of Tift College and has attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

They have two children, Michael who is 19 and Kara Lyn, 17

Dr. William Tribble,

Pastor Emeritus

Dr. William Tribble was presented with the title of Pastor Emeritus on Sunday, September 16, 2007. Dr. Tribble celebrated fifty years in active ministry in January of 2007. During that time, he held three full-time pastorates including twenty-eight years as Senior Pastor of First Baptist, Social Circle. He has preached revivals and Bible conferences in over 100 churches across the GA Baptist Convention, taught twenty-two years in the GA Baptist Educational Extension Program, served five years as a member of the GBC Executive Committee, served as Vice Chairman on the GBC Administration Committee for two years, and received an honorary Doctorate from International Seminary.

Minister of Music and Students

Julian is a graduate of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity with emphasis in Church Music.  He began ministry in 1994 as a bi-vocational Minister of Music. He served as Ministry of Music and Youth at First Baptist Church, Higginsville, MO while concurrently attending seminary. He and his family served 6 years as Career Strategy Coordinators with the International Mission Board, S.B.C. in the Last Frontier where he planted the first church among his target Unreached People Group. He came to Social Circle from the IMB in 2006. Julian has been married to Amy (Bass) Sims (B.S., M.Div.) of Little Rock, AR since 1995 and they have two children, Emily and Liam. They now make their home in Covington, GA.
